This Sunday at 9pm, Jill will be performing in Central Lechera. She’ll be on the guitar, accompanying Tom’s partner, Raquel, as she dances. Speak Machine Interexchange Language Club, in collaboration with Milwaukee Jazz Club and Bar Bugalu, invite you to the first edition of Speak’s events. We have specially organised a live music event, at the best music venue in town (El Puerto de Santa María), with beautiful riverside views, for all language academies, teachers and students to celebrate the end of the term and the beginning of summer.
We are offering you a special discount for group bookings of 10-20 students at 10%, plus a free ticket for you.
Tickets can be bought and offered as rewards for outstanding students, or why not treat your staff to a night out (at only 5 euros per head) as opposed to the annual end of term staff dinner?

Jill’s got another gig next Saturday in Flamenco Soul which is in the new town.  Great spot for some live music and a G&T whilst you watch the sun go down.

Next Sunday, Jill will be playing in Pub Buccan from 6pm – come along for some chilled Sunday tunes to sing along to.

Want a break from old town Carnaval? Playing a gig in Nautilus up my end of town. 3 bands, Scottish, English and Irishman, one sax, crackin covers, cheap euro beers 😆 would love to see a coupla familiar faces. 10pm in Nautilus on Paseo Maritimo.

For those of you not on facebook, Tom’s thinking of organising a day trip to Jerez:

I am thinking about trying to organise a group trip to a bodega in Jerez one Saturday between Carnival and Semana Santa. Apparently you can have a set menu of tapas, try a few different sherries and have a guide show you around for 20-30 euros a head. Before I investigate further, thought it’d be good to know whether anyone fancies it. We could train there and back.

The first Quiz Night of the academic year is taking place this Friday in Boulevard, just off Plaza Mina.  Entry is 1€ a head in teams of four with English and Spanish questions.  Spread the word: students, teachers, housemates – everyone’s welcome!

A great turn-out for Jill’s first concert in Woodstock in the old town at the start of the month and now she’s back!  This Sunday, Jill and Estibaliz have another gig!  This time it’s on the beach front in Woodstock on the Paseo Maritimo at 6pm – so you can enjoy some beautiful live music, have a drink and watch the sun go down.  Plus you get to see just how much fun Jill has when she performs 🙂
